Nabil Matta won Lebanese Poker Championship

Monday, July 27th, 2009

After three days the Lebanese Poker Championship was over, with Nabil Matta as a winner with $606,000 in first prize money. 207 players started the tournament and when the third day started there was only 28 left. 21 of them were guarateed prize money. It didn´t took long util they came to the bubble. Unfortunallty for Mark Demirjian he went out of the tournament on the last non-paid place.

When it was time for final table the stacks looked like this:

Seat 1 Fadi Kamar - 449,000
Seat 2 Chadi Ojeil - 747,000
Seat 3 Nabil Matta - 818,000
Seat 4 Imad Saab - 711,000
Seat 5 Omar Geadah - 452,000
Seat 6 Kamal Bejjani - 308,000
Seat 7 Walid Rizkallah - 559,000
Seat 8 Henry B. - 989,000
Seat 9 Nicolas Zakhem - 1,186,000

When it was time for heads up it was between Nadil Matta and Omar Geadah but it was shown that Matta´s stack was to big for Geadah and it was over pretty fast.
In the last hand Geadah was moving all in pre-flop with J-5. After some thinking Matta called with 9-8. Flop came 9-A-8. Turn was J and a little hope for  Geadah but the river was a 3 and Matta won the tournament
and $606,000 in prize money. This was the biggest prize money in the Lebanese Poker history.
