Bodog Poker and Casino

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Poker, casino or sports betting fans should check out Bodog.com if you don’t already have an account with Bodog. Bodog is one of the best online gambling sites that accepts players from all over the world (yup, even the US and Canada). There are three main parts to Bodog - an online poker room, online casino, and an online sportsbook where you can place bets on sports at. The great thing about Bodog is that you only need to make one account and you will be able to gamble at any of the three sections in Bodog. You often see advertising for online poker rooms, but rarely for the real money online casinos or sportsbooks. Many people aren’t even aware that you can play roulette online (or your favorite casino game) for real money just like you would in a live casino.

Members at Bodog can deposit through the cashier with a variety of different deposit options including Credit Card, eWalletXpress, PaySafeCard, Neteller, Click2Pay, Moneybookers, etc. When you make your first deposit at Bodog you can receive a special bonus depending on whether you’re playing poker or at the casino. The poker player bonus is a 100% match up to $500 that is cleared through playing at the real money poker tables. The casino and sportsbook bonus is a 10% match of the players first deposit. These bonuses are activated when players sign up through an affiliate link or use the Bodog referral number 3057951 when creating a new account. You will see a field that says ‘Referral Number (optional)’ and this is where you type in the number in order to receive the bonus. This bodog referral number is comparable to the Full Tilt referral code for those online poker players out there.

Another cool thing about Bodog is that you can play casino games for fun without downloading any software if you are interested in just testing out the games. For example you can play European roulette with play chips. Bodog will give you $1000 worth in play chips and if you run out you can just start again or sign up for a real account. With the fun Bodog roulette the minimum you can bet is $1 and the max is $500. If you don’t want to play for real money yet it is pretty fun playing at the practice roulette table and seeing how big you can build a $1000 bankroll up to (my personal best is $13,000 in about 30 minutes). Aside from playing roulette online at Bodog, I also like to play Blackjack and Keno. So don’t wait any longer, start playing your favorite casino game or online poker at Bodog today!

Tom Dwan won $1,2 million in one hand

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

The poker pro Tom “durrrr” Dwan won $1,2 million in one hand. It was under a TV broadcasting for Full Tilt Poker´s tv program “Million dollar cash game” that he went in to a hand with Phil Ivey. Other pro poker players at the table was Mike Matusow and Patrik Antonius. But in this historic hand it was only Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey that was involved. This crazy pot started by Dwan bet $40,000 after flop Q-3-5. Phil Ivey called. Next card was a 4, and Dwan raised it to $250,000. Phil Ivey went all in and Tom Dwan fast very fast to call. At this point Ivey was worried. Phil Ivey had A-2 but Tom Dwan had 6-7 and had the better straight. This pot was a total of $1,2 million and was a really historic hand. The turn card was a nightmare for Ivey and a dream for Tom Dwan. This hand will go to the history as one of the most crazy pots ever.

Entraction (B2B Poker) Software Review

Monday, September 21st, 2009

If you ask a casual poker player what networks there are he might answer: iPoker, Ongame, Boss Media and Cake. Only rarely you will hear Entraction, formerly known as B2B network. But why? There’s not a single good reason for that! Entraction is as big as Boss Media and Cake Network. Sure, it’s smaller than iPoker but they all are. We took a closer look at Entraction Poker and searched for reasons why it’s not as popular as other networks.

First of all the most important factor: traffic. If there’s no traffic nobody wants to play there. Entraction belongs to the 10 biggest poker sites so there’s indeed enough traffic. You can compare it with Boss Media and Cake. At those networks there’s similar traffic. But traffic is relative. If you play full ring fixed limit hold’em games there’s not much traffic at Entraction. But if you’re a shorthanded no limit hold’em player there’s enough traffic for you. But there are a lot of losing players at Entraction from which you can make some money.

The software is very clean and fast. No annoying avaters. The tables are resizable which is perfect for multitabling. Also a great advantage is that you can play poker in your browser, so called browser poker. Especially for casual players it’s a big plus because they don’t have to download any software.

The rakeback situation at Entraction is very strict. The maximum you can get is 30 % through affiliate websites. You can’t get more and almost nobody pays less than 30 %. So it’s strictly regulated and causes no network problems. The rakeback situation is way tougher and all the skins fight with very complex loyalty programs which is very confusing. So ipoker rakeback is way more difficult than Entraction rakeback.

Overall Entraction (B2B Poker) is a very nice network that deserves more attention. It’s comparable to Boss Media, Microgaming and Cake but in my opinion it has more advantages (browser poker, strict rakeback, bankroll in Euro, bad players and so on).

Kanye West in MTV scandal

Monday, September 14th, 2009

It was on the MTV Video Music awards 2009 this week that Kanye West ran up on stage while Taylor Swift was accepting her prize for “Best female video”. Kanye wanted Beyonce to win and he clearly said it out loud. He took this great moment away from Swift who didn´t know what to say. Beyonce look very supprised and didn´t liked it, so when she finally won a prize at the award he brought Taylor Swift up on the stage again to “get her moment”. And this time no West was running up on stage.

Now Kanye West said that he is sorry for his actions on his blog and is very embaressed. He wrote: “That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”
Many celebrites was very angry at Kanye West after the award show and was calling him a big child, a sad human being. Pink said that Kanye West was the biggest piece of shit on earth, according to tmz.com.
Let´s see if they forgive him now when he had said he is sorry for all problem he caused.

Focus on: Scotty Nguyen

Monday, September 14th, 2009

Scotty Nguyen is one of the best poker players in the world today. He is a very active player and between 2000 and 2004 he was “In the money” in over 100 tournamnents. Scotty was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam in 1962. He has won five bracelets in World series of poker and his biggest win was in 1998 when he won the main event. In 2008 he won the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E World Championship.
Scotty is very well known to play with a lot of emotions and he is also famous for his expressions “yeah baby” and “That´s poker baby” when it comes to bad beats. At the 1998 World Series Of Poker he said, in the last hand of the tournament, to his opponent Kevin McBride: “You call, gonna be all over baby!” 9-9-8-8-8 was on the table and McBride called. Ofcourse Scotty Nguyen won with a better hand (9-9-9-8-8).
The day after this event, one of his brother was killed in a car accident in Vietnam and this is why Scotty Nguyen don´t wear his 1998 WSOP bracelet.
Scotty Nguyen have been broke a coulpe of times in his poker career but he has always manage to rebuild the bankroll. Scotty finally won a World Poker Tour event in 2006, beating Michael Mizrachi.
At 2009 his total winnings in tournaments is $10,700,000, and we can be sure this will be bigger over the next few years. Right now he is in a commercial for the gambling company Expekt.com.
