Here comes some news from the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. They have just ended the tournament APPT Auckland in New Zealand. This tournament was the largest Poker tornament in New Zealands history with 306 poker players attending at the Sky City Hotel & Casino in Auckland. The winner of the tournament was Daniel Craker, winning NZD $257,040 and he also got an entry to the APPT Grand Final in Sydney. On day 3 there was only 11 players left, and 9 of them would be around the final table. It did´nt took long until both Edward Holdcroft and Eric Mutrie was out and it was time for Final table.

At the final table start the chips count was like this:

Nathanael Seet 348,000
Wai Yuen 162,000
Michael Mariakis 262,000
Dan Sing 198,000
Jani Karke 49,000
Luke Stanford 860,000
Wang Jung 373,000
Matthew Konnecke 80,000

This heads-up only took 2 hands and was between Daniel Craker and Matthew Konnecke. Third place finisher was Wang Jung with $85,680 in prize money.

Last hand in tournament:

Matthew had A-9 and Re-raised pre flop and Daniel went all in with his 2-2. Matthew was thinking for a while and then went all in for his tournament living. The flop showed K-10-6 and was no help to Matthew´s A-9. Turn was turned over and it was 5 of spades. No help again. On the river a Q came up and this was no help either, and Matthew Konnecke finished 2nd with $162,791 in prize money. Daniel Craker won this tournament and won $257,040 in first prize money.
