Sebastian Rutherberg winner of EPT Barcelona

Sebastian Ruthenberg won the first EPT tournament of the season in Barcelona. He defeated 618 other poker players in the tournament, and won heads-up against Fintan Gavin, this heads-up was very short. He took home $1,360,100 in first prize money.
Sebastian Ruthenberg was sponsored by Pokerstars and Fintan Gavin was a Pokerstars qualifyer. Ruthenberg started the final table as chipleader and he made it all the way.
He won the German Open in Poker 2006 and from there he just played better and better. He also came third in ETP in Dortmund, Germany. Sebastian Ruthenberg won a World Series Of Poker braclet in June at the Seven Card Stud-tournament aswell.

There were 619 poker players in the starting field, with a buy-in of $8,000, it became a record in prize money with $4, 952,000. Next tournament on the European Poker Tour will be in London, starting at October 1. Buy-in to this tournament is $5,200+$200. We´ll come back with results later.

Mats Sundin played his first tournament

Now finally Hockey Pro Mats Sundin played his first tournament as an ambassador for Pokerstars.

-We are very impressed with Mats play, says Johan Bondesson at Pokerstars. Mats Sundin, who signed up with Pokerstars a couple a weeks ago and played his first tournament (EPT in Barcelona), played for six and a half hours before it was time to leave the tables. Mats ended before Poker Pros like William Thorson, Daniel Negreanu and Scotty Nguyen and his sponsor was very impressed by that.
- I did not think I was gonna be disappointed, but I am, said a laughing Mats Sundin after he was eliminated.
On the question If there he will play more tournament He said; -Absolutely!
And then he walks away from his first, but not his last big tournament.
